Well plugging the right way

If the well needs to be abandoned and plugged it must be done as per NAC 534.420 or 534.4371. This is to protect our most precious resource OUR WATER.

The Division of Water Resources requires if the casing can be removed it must be. In the event that it can not be removed it must be ripped or perforated. This picture illustrates what the Division of Water Resources wants the casing to look like. These rips or perforations allow the plugging fluid to go outside of the well casing and penetrate the water aquifers.

The Plugging must be done by a Nevada licensed Water Well Driller.
